Health and Nutrition

The nursery has a fully equipped kitchen where food is freshly prepared each day to the highest standard, both hygienically and nutritionally.

We cater for allergies and special diets, or sometimes just fussy little eaters.

Breakfast is provided between 7.30 am and 8.30 am and is a selection of cereal followed by toast and or crumpets.

Lunch is the main meal of the day and is served at 12.00 pm and is usually a real social event as all the  full time children come together to enjoy the occasion.

Teatime is served at 4.00 pm and is usually a lighter meal of sandwiches or items such as beans on toast, followed  by homemade cakes or biscuits that the children have baked during the day.

Snack time is between :

  • 10.00 am and 10.30 am
  • 02.00 pm and 02.30 pm

where the children will have a glass of milk, fresh fruit, or breadsticks and cheese and raw vegetables and fresh fruit smoothies. There is usually quite a selection so all the children can find familiar and unfamiliar foods to experiment.
